Help Save 'Friday Night Lights'

The last new episode of Friday Night Lights aired last week, and NBC has yet to announce plans for the series. Though I'm not a football fan, FNL is one of my favorite shows on TV, and it would break my heart to suddenly be deprived of Riggins, Smash, Saracen and the rest of the Dillon Panthers. So what can we do?

Absolutely MUST be saved. Simply the best written, best ensemble cast on television(Regardless of my deep affection for LOST). Even if NBC doesn't want it, it should be moved to one of its subsidiary networks or sold to cable because there is a loyal fan base which I believe would follow it. Also, the timeslot is the friday death sentence. A Sunday night or thursday night slot(after The Office) would do wonders for its viewship.

That's exactly what some are saying might happen. If NBC cancels the show without providing an alternative for it to continue elsewhere, the network had better prepare for enormous backlash from both fans and the media. And, it will deserve any and all criticism that comes its way.
